It helps to have the right people in your corner.

“Helen’s guidance was invaluable. She helped me understand my rights in the IESP process, the complexity of my ‘twice-exceptional’ AuDHD daughter’s strengths and support needs, and how to successfully advocate for both.”

Testimonials

  • "Helen changed my and my family's lives. The savviness of her deep research into resources and providers is unmatched. She helped me step-by-step through my child's dyslexia, autism, and PDA diagnoses, and the entirety of NY state's OPWDD [Office for People With Developmental Disabilities] application process. She helped me find a practitioner to evaluate me for autism and OCD, and an occupational therapist who has helped me better understand myself and where I struggle. Helen's expertise is unlike anything I have ever seen. She is wise, deeply knowledgeable, unafraid of tenacious paperwork and complicated systems/processes, and creative in matching specific resources to my children's needs. Her advocacy work is a gift. Everyone, especially neurodivergent folx and those that care for them, should be so lucky as to work with Helen!"

  • "Helen is one of a kind. She embodies a rare, incredible balance of logic and being heart-led. Her ability to see the big picture while holding my family's immediate needs is a gift — and her support, from IESP guidance to care provider recommendations, has been priceless.”

  • "From my kiddo's initial psychoeducational assessment, through our IESP process, through the detour of my own AuDHD assessment and diagnosis, and now again through a second assessment for potential learning disabilities, Helen's perspective and guidance has been critical for my family. Her knowledge of neurodivergence and its co-occuring conditions, her deep understanding of the 'atypical' ways Autism and ADHD often present in women/girls and LGBTQIA+ individuals (and the ways in which we too often go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed), and her recommendations for neurodiversity- and LGBTQIA+- affirming providers made a world of difference. I am 100% positive that, if I hadn't had Helen coaching me on how to push back against outdated understandings of neurodivergence, we definitely wouldn't be as well-resourced as we are now."
