Client-centered. Culturally-responsive. Creative. Compassionate.
About Me
I am a licensed attorney, mother of four, and deeply committed to social justice and advocacy.
I have extensive experience providing client-centered professional services focused on helping individuals find a path forward that aligns with their values and goals. I have training and expertise in child development, education, disability and education, and community and economic development.
I have designed educational materials and provided education, training, and technical support in a variety of professional settings, and excel at breaking down complex concepts into accessible, usable information. I also have over a decade of experience as a homeschool educator, selecting and designing curriculum and experiential learning, creating transcripts and state reporting documents, selecting and administering annual assessments, and providing individualized instruction.
I am passionate about using my training and experience to empower others to understand and navigate the complex health, education, and government systems that too often leave us feeling confused and overwhelmed, rather than supported. I am deeply committed to economic, racial, gender, and disability justice. Having navigated these systems on behalf of my own family, as a Black, neurodivergent women and parent, to neurodivergent children, I understand the ways in which too many systems do not consider the complex and unique needs of people who hold marginalized identities, let alone multiple marginalized identities. I see individuals as experts in their own lives, and have a deep reverence for their wisdom about their needs, priorities, and values, because I have personally experienced the great impact of working with affirming professionals. By listening to my clients’ unique voices, valuing their lived experiences, and considering the systems of oppression they are navigating, I strive to ensure my clients have the resources and the strategic mindset required to successfully advocate for themselves and their families.
